Savanna

Altitude 450 – 2680m

Grassland dotted with trees.  These areas are similar to dry bushland and have many similar species. There is a theory that areas change from savanna and bushland (and back!) depending on how heavily they are grazed. Large herbivores like elephants can create savanna from bushland. The Maasai Mara and Laikipia are examples of a savanna habitat.
